Butterbeer

A few of our favorite things...

Whiskey.  Butter.  Beer.  Sounds good to us!

Okay, this cocktail isn’t exactly made with butter and beer.  Even better, it’s a tantalizing combo of Hatfield & McCoy Whiskey, ginger beer and apple cider, with a hint of balanced buttery sweet richness. 

Once you’ve tried it, you’ll see why it’s simply one of our seasonal favorites.

Butterbeer

Ingredients

2oz Hatfield & McCoy Whiskey

1oz Buttered brown sugar syrup

2oz Apple cider

2oz Ginger beer


For the syrup:

1/2c Water

1/2c Brown sugar

1tsp Butter


For the rim (optional):

Butterscotch

Mix it all up...

  1. To make the syrup, heat 1/2c water and 1/2c brown sugar in a pan over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

  2. Remove from heat and add 1tsp butter, stirring until it melts.  Allow to cool.

  3. Optional, dip a glass into butterscotch for a tasty rim.

  4. In a cocktail shaker mix 2oz Hatfield & McCoy Whiskey, 1oz of the buttered brown sugar simple syrup, and 2oz apple cider.

  5. Strain into rimmed glass and top off with 2oz ginger beer.
