Here are some suggestions for rimming your glass:
If you’re planning ahead and have time, chilling your glass first will make this step a little easier.
For a salt and lime zest rim:
Mix equal parts kosher salt and lime zest on a small plate or wide, shallow bowl.
Take it to the next level:
Combine equal parts kosher salt and sugar (turbinado or superfine) with the lime zest for a savory sweet treat.
Once your coating is ready to go:
Moisten the rim of your glass with a wedge of lime, then twist the rim of your glass back and forth in the coating until it’s covered to your preference.
You can dip your glass in a shallow bowl filled about 1/4 inch with lime juice (or even the orange liqueur or cranberry juice). Then dip your glass in the coating as above.
