REBORN. REPACKAGED. REUNITED WITH ITS ROOTS.

Created to revitalize interest in America’s oldest spirit, Red Harbor Rum is a rum like no other.  Made simply from molasses, yeast, and water, and aged in oak barrels, our traditional, colonial style rum is smoky and oaky on the front with a vanilla and caramel finish. Unlike the vast majority of imported rum, Red Harbor has an oak-forward flavor that is reminiscent of bourbon and is crafted using authentic colonial techniques, ingredients, and packaging. We strive to make sure rum is no longer the forgotten liquor of America.  Red Harbor Rum drinks like a bourbon and is best enjoyed neat.

Red Harbor Rum was created to celebrate American History.  In the 18th Century Rum was considered the backbone of liquid consumption in Charleston, and the Holy City played a huge role in popularising the spirit in America.  In 1735 alone, over 130,000 gallons of rum arrived in the port of Charleston. As England realized how lucrative the industry would become, acts designed to control the trade of key rum ingredients were introduced. These acts resulted in the underground trade of smuggled molasses and locally distilled rums. Red Harbor Rum seeks to recreate this forgotten colonial spirit and will take you on a journey back to the early days of our country and of Charleston, back to the rum of an older time.
